Vergelegen Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2020 is a single-vineyard wine from the historic Schaapenberg site, planted in 1988 and located just 6.5 km from False Bay. South-facing at 320 meters above sea level, the vineyard’s exposure to cooling maritime breezes ensures freshness, intensity, and age-worthiness.
The wine is highly aromatic, showing ripe passion fruit, guava, and blackcurrant leaf, accented by a touch of lemongrass and minerality. The palate is concentrated yet refined, with a long, clean aftertaste that highlights the vineyard’s coastal character.
